WIMAUMA, Fla. — Three people have been arrested following an organized liquor theft investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
Authorities identified Darrell Glass, Mario Bancroft, and Lateisha Glass as suspects in a scheme involving a warehouse, delivery drivers, and unauthorized stops along delivery routes. The theft began on February 13, with warehouse workers reportedly concealing cases of high-end liquor on pallets during overnight shifts. The stolen merchandise was loaded onto delivery trucks, with security seals tampered with, and transported to locations including a Wendy’s in Seffner before being taken to a Wimauma home for sorting and resale.
On March 25, deputies executed a search warrant at the home on Alistar Manor Drive, recovering approximately $75,000 worth of stolen liquor. A 2022 Toyota Corolla used in the scheme was also seized.
Darrell Glass faces charges of organized fraud over $50,000, second-degree grand theft, and dealing in stolen property. Mario Bancroft is charged with organized fraud over $50,000 and second-degree grand theft. Lateisha Glass faces second-degree grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
“This case highlights the calculated efforts of individuals who exploited their positions for personal gain,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the diligence of our detectives and the cooperation of the victim company, those responsible are now facing serious consequences.”
The investigation remains active.
