Willis Blackmon Arrested After Dropping Cocaine at Aberdeen Food Lion

63-Year-Old Aberdeen Man Charged with Felony Cocaine Possession

Willis Blackmon, 63, of Aberdeen, is facing felony charges after allegedly dropping a bag of cocaine at a local Food Lion. The Aberdeen Police Department announced the arrest on Friday, which stemmed from an incident that occurred on August 14, 2024.

According to the police, officers responded to the store after an employee reported finding suspected narcotics. Upon reviewing the store’s surveillance footage, investigators identified an unidentified man dropping a bag containing the suspected drugs on the floor.

The substance was seized and sent to the State Crime Lab for testing. On February 4, 2025, the lab confirmed that the substance was cocaine. After further investigation, Blackmon was identified as the individual seen in the video. Warrants for his arrest were issued, and he was taken into custody on February 13 after deputies located him.

Blackmon was brought before a Moore County Magistrate, where he was granted a $2,500 secured bond.
