Troy Police Department arrested Willie D. McClendon, 44, after he was charged with first-degree domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Officers responded Friday afternoon to the 800 block of South Franklin Drive following reports of a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim, who said McClendon had struck her in the head and fled before police arrived.
Following an investigation, McClendon was taken into custody on Sunday and is currently held without bond at the Pike County Jail. He awaits an Aniah’s Law hearing related to the case.
