PADUCAH, Ky. — The Paducah Police Department arrested two individuals after a stolen ATV and trailer were recovered following a multi-day investigation.
Officers responded around 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 to a theft report in the 1600 block of Kentucky Avenue. Surveillance footage from a nearby business helped identify a green Ford truck as the suspect vehicle.
The following evening, another officer located the truck in the 1200 block of North 8th Street using the Flock Safety Camera System. The occupants were identified as William C. Starks, 43, and Jennifer M. Bagby, 41, both of Metropolis, Illinois.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered methamphetamine, and the pair were taken into custody and booked into the McCracken County Jail.
The investigation led authorities to the suspects’ residence in Illinois, where the Massac County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen ATV and trailer. The recovered property was returned to its owners.
According to police, Starks admitted to stealing the trailer and is charged with theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Bagby faces a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
