Three Men Arrested in Brent, AL Child Sex Abuse Bunker Case
BRENT, AL — Authorities in Bibb County, Alabama have arrested three men in connection to a disturbing case of child sexual abuse tied to an underground bunker. The investigation, which began on February 4, 2025, has uncovered multiple instances of human trafficking, rape, and sodomy involving minors.
William Chase McElroy was the first suspect arrested. He remains in custody at the Bibb County Jail facing:
4 counts of first-degree rape
6 counts of first-degree human trafficking
6 counts of first-degree sodomy
4 counts of first-degree kidnapping
On April 25, investigators arrested Dalton Terrell, who now faces:
6 counts of first-degree rape
12 counts of first-degree sodomy
5 counts of first-degree human trafficking
A third suspect, Andres Velazquez-Trejo, was arrested on April 29 and is charged with:
6 counts of first-degree human trafficking
The crimes are linked to an underground bunker located in Brent, a small town in Bibb County. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing as they work to identify additional victims and collaborators.
Sheriff Jody Wade praised the collaborative effort between local and federal agencies, including Homeland Security, the Alabama Fusion Center, and child advocacy services.
“Such abhorrent behavior will not be tolerated in Bibb County,” Sheriff Wade stated. “These offenders will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
All suspects remain in the Bibb County Jail as the legal process continues.
