OSCEOLA, Ark. — A Mississippi County jury convicted William Allen “Willie” McCullough on October 2, 2025, of residential burglary, terroristic threatening, theft of property, and harassing communications.

Circuit Judge Dan Ritchey imposed consecutive sentences totaling 70 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC): 40 years for residential burglary and 15 years for each count of terroristic threatening. The misdemeanor sentences — one year for theft of property and six months for harassing communications — will run concurrently.

Evidence presented at trial showed that McCullough and his wife separated in January 2024. Between January and February 2024, he allegedly made repeated death threats to his wife and a coworker she was seeing, via phone calls, texts, and emails. Several calls were recorded by the wife and played for the jury.

On February 3, 2024, McCullough reportedly broke into the coworker’s apartment in Wilson while both victims were at work and stole multiple items. In recorded calls, McCullough admitted to committing the burglary.

The jury also learned that McCullough had 11 prior felony convictions and classified him as a habitual offender, which enhanced his sentence. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jeremy Thomas and Prosecuting Attorney Sonia Hagood handled the case.
