JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A man from Akron, Ohio, has been arrested in connection with a methamphetamine trafficking operation in Jackson County, West Virginia.
William Joseph Lemon, 35, was taken into custody after law enforcement intercepted a delivery involving over a pound of meth, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Authorities say Lemon had been transporting multiple pounds of methamphetamine into the state and was caught during a scheduled delivery to local dealers in the area. A K-9 unit from the Ravenswood Police Department assisted in the operation, leading to a successful seizure.
Following his arrest, Lemon was arraigned in Magistrate’s Court, where his bond was set at $150,000. He is currently being held at the South-Central Regional Jail.
The sheriff’s office emphasized that this bust is part of a broader effort to crack down on drug trafficking in the region. Investigations into connected individuals and operations are ongoing.
