GREENVILLE, NC — A former IHOP employee is behind bars after police say he worked with a manager to rob the Greenville restaurant where he once worked.
On Monday, June 30, William Charles Brown, 32, was arrested by the Greenville Police Department in connection to a June 16 armed robbery at IHOP.
According to warrants, Brown forcibly took $3,294.67 in cash by assaulting an individual and stealing the money from the restaurant.
Police say Brown conspired with IHOP manager Chico Jamar Haddock to commit the crime.
Brown has been charged with:
Common Law Robbery (Felony)
Felony Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
He was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center and received a $50,000 secured bond. His court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1.
Authorities have not confirmed whether Haddock has been arrested or charged.
The investigation remains ongoing.
