BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two men, 51-year-old Wilbert Reynolds Jr. and 54-year-old Dexter Jemison, have been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the death of Juan Chapman.
Discovery of the Victim
Chapman was reported missing over the weekend, and his family found his body inside a vehicle on Monday in the 2000 block of Carlos Avenue. An autopsy confirmed he had been shot to death.
Investigation & Arrest
With assistance from community members, police arrested Reynolds and Jemison at a west Birmingham home just hours after the discovery of Chapman’s body.
Charges & Detention
Both suspects have been charged with Capital Murder (Victim inside Vehicle) and are currently being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail.
