GILMER, Texas (KLTV) – David Jason Palmer, 55, of White Oak, was arrested in Gilmer during an undercover operation targeting online solicitation of minors, according to Sheriff Larry Webb.
The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside Texas Department of Public Safety, apprehended Palmer after he arranged to meet someone he believed was a minor at a designated location.
When Palmer arrived, law enforcement officers were waiting to take him into custody. He was booked into the Upshur County Jail on charges of online solicitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. His bond was set at $75,000.
