Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward “Eddie” Osefo, have been arrested on fraud-related charges.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Westminster, Maryland, the couple was taken into custody on Thursday, October 9, and later released on bond set at $50,000 each, as reported by TMZ.
Wendy, who joined RHOP in 2020, is reportedly facing 17 charges, including seven felonies. The charges include fraud involving false or misleading information exceeding $300 and a misdemeanor for making a false statement to an officer. Details about Eddie’s specific charges have not yet been confirmed.
Mugshots released on Friday, October 10, show the couple smiling during their booking.
Outside of reality TV, Wendy Osefo is a professor of education at Johns Hopkins University and a political commentator for The Hill, MSNBC, and CNN.
Her arrest follows that of her RHOP co-star Karen Huger, who was released last month after serving six months of a one-year sentence for DUI charges.
