Waterbury, Conn. — Carmen Verouschka Morales, 30, was arrested on November 19, 2024, after a police search at her home led to the discovery of thousands of fentanyl bags, large quantities of cocaine, a firearm, and cash. Morales now faces multiple charges, including risk of injury to a minor, operating a drug factory, possession of cocaine, and possession of fentanyl.

At approximately 11:38 a.m., authorities executed a search and seizure warrant at Morales’ residence on Melrose Avenue, where they found 481.4 grams of cocaine and 3,821 bags of fentanyl, both packaged for sale. Along with the drugs, $5,021 in cash and a Glock handgun with ammunition were seized.

During the search, police noted the presence of two children’s bedrooms near the narcotics, which were deemed to be easily accessible to the minors in the home. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
