A unique thief with a taste for premium motorcycles was apprehended by Vizianagaram police. Unlike typical criminals, Uppadala Ramu alias DJ had a specific obsession with Royal Enfield bikes, making him stand out among ordinary bike thieves.

Speaking to the media, SP Vakul Jindal stated that Ramu, a resident of BC Colony in VT Agraharam, Vizianagaram, was arrested along with his accomplice Muddada Naveen alias Tyson (19) from Muddadapeta village, Amadalavalasa Mandal, Srikakulam district.

Ramu, a habitual offender with a record of bike thefts, resumed his illegal activities after being recently released from jail. He specifically targeted Royal Enfield motorcycles across the 1-Town and 2-Town police station limits.

Based on surveillance and investigation, police arrested Ramu near the RTC Complex while he was riding a stolen Royal Enfield. Following information provided by Ramu, his associate Naveen, who helped sell the stolen bikes, was also apprehended.

In total, police recovered 11 Royal Enfield motorcycles and 2 Yamaha R15 bikes.

SP Vakul Jindal commended DSP M. Srinivasa Rao, CI RVRK Chowdary, and SI Surendra Naidu for their swift and effective work, presenting them with appreciation certificates for cracking the case.
