In two separate drug-related cases on Thursday, Coimbatore District (Rural) and City Police arrested a total of nine individuals. The arrests were made in Karumathampatty and Kavundampalayam areas for possession of illegal substances, including methamphetamine and ganja.
In the Karumathampatty area, police arrested Vishnu Kesavan, 28, alias Sibi, and M. Ajithkumar, 28, both from Rathinapuri. The two men were found in possession of 6 kg of ganja and 2.5 grams of methamphetamine.
The police are continuing their investigation into both incidents.
