In a swift and effective operation, the Gangolli police arrested two individuals—Vinayak (41) and his wife Pramila (30)—in connection with a house burglary that occurred in Trasi village near Kundapur on January 21.

The burglary took place between 10:15 am and 11:30 am, when the accused broke into the residence of Uday Poojary, located near Trasi Beach, and made away with a bag containing valuable gold jewelry. The stolen items included a 16g gold necklace, 16g gold bangle, and three gold rings totaling 3g, all valued at around Rs2 lakh.

The case was registered at Gangolli Police Station, and a team led by PSI Harish R, along with officers Shantharam, Raju, Nagaraj, Raghavendra, Sandeep Kurani, Maruti Naik, and Dinesh, began an immediate investigation.

Within just 9 hours, by 8:00 pm on the same day, the team apprehended the culprits at Gujjadi in Kundapur taluk. Police also recovered the entire stolen gold and seized a TVS scooter (KA 20 EK 6304) used in the crime.

Both accused were produced before the court, and further investigation is underway.
