The Phagwara police have arrested two individuals in separate cases of drug possession and filed charges under the NDPS Act.
In the first case, Vikas, a resident of Garrha near Jalandhar and currently staying in a paying guest house in village Miherru, was caught with 10 grams of heroin at a checkpoint set up by the police. He was immediately taken into custody.
In another case, Kuldip Singh, a resident of Sukhchain Nagar, Phagwara, was arrested after 50 intoxicating tablets were found in his possession during a routine patrol check.
Both accused have been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to uncover any possible supply networks or accomplices.
