A 38-year-old Conway resident, Victoria Smith-Williams, has been convicted of one count of Medicaid fraud in Arkansas.
Smith-Williams, who worked as a dental assistant, submitted conflicting timesheets and billed Medicaid for community support services that were never provided to recipients.
She was sentenced to five years of probation, a $500 fine plus court fees, and restitution totaling $9,297.75.
Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin praised the investigation, highlighting the efforts of MFCU’s Chief Investigator Gregory McKay, Senior Assistant Attorney General Leigh Patterson, and Sixth Judicial District Prosecutor Will Jones. He emphasized that Medicaid fraud will not be tolerated in the state.
