CINCINNATI, OH — An 18-year-old man, Victor Canton, has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near the University of Cincinnati campus.
The incident happened around 2:47 a.m. on Glendora Avenue in Corryville, where police say a 16-year-old was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, acting on a tip, located Canton in the 1700 block of Culver Court in Pierce Township. He was taken into custody by Pierce Township Police and Clermont County deputies and charged with felonious assault.
The Cincinnati Police Department is continuing its investigation into the shooting. No further details about the motive or circumstances surrounding the incident have been released.
