Police arrested two serial offenders in separate vehicle theft cases on Thursday, uncovering their involvement in over 50 thefts combined across multiple districts in Kerala.
In the first case, Venugopal, 52, a resident of Kidangoor, Kottayam, was arrested for stealing a two-wheeler from the North Paravur court premises on August 4. The bike belonged to a resident of Chendamangalam.
After detailed investigation, police tracked Venugopal to Nedumbassery, where he was taken into custody. The stolen bike was recovered. Authorities revealed that Venugopal is a habitual offender and has been involved in nearly 25 theft cases across Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Thrissur.
In a separate operation, Aluva police arrested Binoy, 41, from Ayampuzha.
