What started as a routine arrest of two Uzbek women without valid documents in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City has unraveled into a large-scale international trafficking and sex racket investigation.
The women, Holida and Nilofer, were detained for lacking passports and visas. Police soon uncovered a powerful syndicate that facilitates illegal entry of foreign women into India via Nepal, providing fake Indian identities with forged documents and even cosmetic surgeries to alter appearances.
Central to the operation is Lola Kayumova, a foreign national living illegally in India despite an Interpol lookout. She allegedly arranged shelter for Holida and Nilofer in Lucknow, securing them an apartment in Omaxe R2 with the help of associates Trijinraj alias Arjun Rana and a local plastic surgeon, Dr. Vivek Gupta.
Lola’s intricate web includes two marriages—first to Trijinraj from Kerala and later to Janak Pratap Singh—both documented with forged certificates. These fake identities helped her obtain Aadhaar cards and driving licenses, which local police failed to verify properly during routine checks.
The racket reportedly smuggles women across the Indo-Nepal border, confiscates their original passports, and distributes them across Indian cities through brokers for prostitution and other illegal activities.
Disturbingly, during interrogation, Holida and Nilofer revealed that Dr. Vivek Gupta performed cosmetic procedures to alter their faces, helping them evade biometric systems by making them look like Indian women.
The investigation is ongoing, with police probing the full extent of the syndicate’s operations and the involvement of others in the network.
