In Bahraich district’s Trivedipurwa village, four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Shubham Singh. His body was discovered the morning after Diwali, prompting a police investigation.
Preliminary reports suggest the killing was fueled by jealousy in a love triangle. Shubham was involved in a dispute with Umesh Verma over engagement issues with Meena Verma. Investigations revealed that Umesh, along with his accomplices including his fiancée Meena, planned and executed the murder.
The incident sparked local unrest, with villagers blocking roads to demand justice. All suspects have now been remanded into judicial custody, while police continue to gather evidence to strengthen their case.
