Ulhasnagar Police Arrest Navin Chinchole with 1.6 kg Ganja

Man held on suspicion of drug trafficking in Ulhasnagar

The Central Police in Ulhasnagar have arrested 25-year-old Navin Ramdas Chinchole from Khemami Road on charges of possessing 1.6 kilograms of ganja. Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap in Ulhasnagar on Friday and detained Chinchole while he was attempting to sell the drugs.

During the search, officers recovered 1.6 kg of ganja from his possession. Initial questioning revealed that Chinchole intended to sell the narcotics to an unidentified buyer. The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Chinchole was produced before a local court and remanded to police custody for further investigation. DCP Sachin Gore of Ulhasnagar Division stated, “We are investigating the case to trace the origin of the contraband and dismantle the supply chain.”
