HYDE PARK, N.Y. — Tyrone Haskins, 63, of Hyde Park, was arrested Wednesday following a Dutchess County search warrant that uncovered drugs, illegal firearms, and stolen property.
Haskins faces multiple charges, including:
Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
Fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property
Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
The arrest followed an investigation prompted by a tip that Haskins was dealing narcotics and dangerous drugs in the county. Dutchess County Drug Task Force agents reportedly discovered large quantities of cocaine and fentanyl, drug packaging materials, digital scales, cash, and other items used in narcotics distribution.
Authorities also found two loaded illegal handguns in Haskins’ home, including one reported stolen from North Carolina, along with a bulletproof vest.
Haskins was arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.
