MILLBROOK, Alabama — Millbrook police arrested 26-year-old Tyrese K. Jones of Montgomery on October 29, 2025, in connection with an organized retail theft at Walmart.
On June 26, 2025, three individuals entered the store and left with merchandise valued at over $800 without paying. Millbrook police collected video evidence from loss prevention personnel and submitted photographs of the suspects to Crime Stoppers. Tips from the agency helped identify one offender, whose interview eventually revealed a partial name of a co-defendant.
Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for Jones’ arrest on one count of Organized Retail Theft. He was taken into custody in Montgomery and transported to Elmore County Jail, where he remains held on a $30,000 bond.
Millbrook police emphasized the effectiveness of video surveillance, loss prevention staff, and partnerships with organizations like Crime Stoppers in solving property crimes. Authorities warned that individuals who commit retail theft risk arrest, prosecution, and potential prison sentences.
“Most businesses actively work with law enforcement to identify offenders. You may get out of the parking lot without being caught, but it doesn’t end there,” Millbrook police said.
