Tyrean Harry Arrested in Paincourtville Car Theft

Suspect Faces Theft and Burglary Charges

PAINCOURTVILLE, La. — Deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested 29-year-old Tyrean Harry of St. James for his role in a car theft and burglary incident that occurred in 2023.

On July 26, 2023, deputies responded to a call along La. 70 near La. 3127, where a Chrysler Aspen had been stolen and another nearby car had been broken into.

Following an investigation, authorities identified Harry and 25-year-old Darrel Anthony Morris Jr. as suspects. Arrest warrants for Harry were issued on October 24, 2023. He was taken into custody on March 26, 2026, and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of theft of a motor vehicle, simple burglary of a motor vehicle, and resisting an officer.

Deputies noted that Morris had already been arrested, convicted, and sentenced for his involvement in the case.
