Tyran Walker Arrested in Plaquemine Shooting Case

One injured in Monday night shooting on Jetson Avenue

PLAQUEMINE, La. (WAFB) — Authorities have arrested a man following a shooting in Plaquemine on Monday night, Jan. 26, that left one person injured.

According to Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi, Tyran Andrew Walker is charged with attempted second-degree murder.

Deputies responded to the scene on Jetson Avenue around 10:18 p.m., where a 20-year-old man had been shot in the back. He was airlifted to a Baton Rouge hospital and is reported to be stable but in guarded condition.

Sheriff Stassi confirmed that the shooting remains under investigation.
