KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tyler Joynt, a Knoxville resident, was arrested for felony burglary after entering a home without permission on July 5th.

According to court records, a sheriff’s deputy responded to a call about unauthorized persons at a Knoxville residence around 7:00 p.m. Upon arrival, the deputy found the front door open. Joynt and a friend exited the home and were detained while the deputy ensured the house was clear.

Joynt claimed he was retrieving personal belongings from the house. However, the property owner stated that Joynt had signed a waiver on July 1st, declaring all items in the house abandoned and revoking his permission to be on the property.

Joynt admitted to gaining entry by removing a window air conditioning unit and crawling inside through a back window. Based on this information, Joynt was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony.
