Two Teens, Two Adults Arrested in Armed Robbery of Brampton Electronics Store

Four suspects, including two minors, face multiple charges after armed robbery

Peel Regional Police have arrested two teens and two adults following an armed robbery at a retail store in Brampton over the weekend.

Police were called to the area near Steeles Avenue West and McLaughlin Road South at around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. According to the authorities, four males entered an electronics store armed with a firearm and demanded various items from the store. During the robbery, one victim sustained minor injuries before the suspects fled the scene in a nearby vehicle.

The suspects were tracked down shortly after the robbery near Dundas Street West and Kipling Avenue in Toronto. Police initiated a foot pursuit and managed to apprehend the suspects. During the arrest, officers recovered a Glock 19 handgun with an extended magazine containing 11 rounds of ammunition.

Two of the suspects, aged 14 and 15, cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The other two suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Chayim Abecassis and 20-year-old Oluwafemi Oladekoye.

All four suspects face six charges, including robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise with the intent to commit a crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited device. Oladekoye also faces an additional charge for failing to comply with a release order.

The investigation into the robbery continues, and police are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
