Two Students Arrested with 2.7 Kg of Ganja Worth Rs91,000 in Hyderabad

Students Patibala and Gaddi Caught Transporting Drugs from Maharashtra

On Sunday, the Balanagar Special Operations Team (SOT) arrested two students at Hafizpet railway station in Miyapur, Hyderabad, for transporting 2.7 kg of ganja worth Rs91,000. The suspects were identified as Patibala Venkata Satya Narasimha Swamy (20) and Gaddi Deepak (23), both students at Siddhartha Degree and PG College in Kukatpally.

According to police, the accused procured the contraband from a supplier named MD Amjad in Parli, Maharashtra, and were transporting it by train to Hyderabad. The SOT team intercepted them at Hafizpet railway station where they were arrested with the drugs.

The police are investigating the source of the drugs and whether the duo had been involved in any prior illegal activities. Authorities are also working to apprehend MD Amjad, the supplier, as part of the ongoing probe.
