FARGO, N.D. — Two inmates at Cass County Jail are facing felony charges after authorities discovered drugs during routine intake procedures in separate incidents.
Emily Nicole Hardebeck, 27, of Enderlin, is charged with possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility after jail staff found fentanyl hidden on her person during the intake process on October 24.
Hardebeck initially avoided a body scan by claiming she was pregnant. After medical clearance, a scan around 6:20 p.m. revealed an abnormality. During a search, she voluntarily handed over a package wrapped in toilet paper containing five small baggies of powder—four with white powder totaling 5.35 grams and one with pink powder weighing 4.55 grams. She admitted both substances were fentanyl from “different batches.”
Gauge Martin Wold, 18, of Fargo, faces the same charge after drug paraphernalia fell from his clothing during a routine clothing change and body scan on October 27. Three clear glass items identified as methamphetamine and crack pipes were collected from Wold during the search. No additional contraband was found on a body scan.
These incidents mark three recent discoveries of drugs during booking at Cass County Jail, including Scott West, who allegedly had meth hidden in his underwear on October 26.
Authorities say the cases are under investigation, and both Hardebeck and Wold now face felony charges in connection with the incidents.
