Two Eastern Carolinians Arrested for Stealing Lottery Tickets

Kinston police charge Alexis Darden and Marquell Gibbs with multiple felony counts

KINSTON, N.C. — Two individuals from Eastern Carolina are behind bars after being accused of stealing lottery tickets, according to the Kinston Police Department.

Alexis Darden, 26, from Goldsboro, was arrested in Wayne County and charged with two counts of felony conspiracy, two counts of larceny by employee, and obtaining property by false pretense. She was taken to the Wayne County Jail and held under a secured bond.

Meanwhile, Marquell Gibbs, 32, from Lenoir County, was arrested in Kinston and charged with two counts of felony conspiracy and obtaining property by false pretense. He was taken to the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond.

Both suspects face serious charges related to the theft and fraudulent activities involving lottery tickets. The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover further details surrounding the incident.
