HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) — Two Connecticut residents were arrested early Tuesday morning after a prostitution transaction took place at the State Police barracks in Hartford, resulting in drug-related charges as well.

At approximately 12:31 a.m., troopers approached the Troop H Hartford barracks and noticed a sports car blocking the entrance to the parking lot. Upon investigating, they discovered both occupants of the vehicle were undressed and engaged in lewd activities. The vehicle was obstructing the entrance, prompting the officers to intervene.

After asking the individuals to compose themselves and exit the vehicle, the officers noticed signs that the driver, 34-year-old Willie Ferrell of Bloomfield, was impaired. He was asked to perform a standardized field sobriety test, which he failed.

When police spoke to the passenger, 48-year-old Diandra Lysik of Hartford, she initially denied engaging in any transaction. However, troopers found three $10 bills at the top of her purse, which led her to admit that she was involved in sex work.

Further investigation revealed that Lysik was in possession of suspected narcotics and paraphernalia, later confirmed to be fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Ferrell was arrested and faces the following charges:

Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs

Improper Parking

Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree

Soliciting Sexual Acts/Exchange for Sexual Conduct

He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Hartford Superior Court on May 30th.

Lysik was also arrested and faces charges including:

Use of Drug Paraphernalia

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree

Soliciting Sexual Acts/Exchange for Sexual Conduct

She was held on a $1,000 bond and is expected to appear at Hartford Superior Court on May 6th.
