Two men from Columbia, Kentucky, have been arrested in connection with ongoing burglary investigations in Adair County.
According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Benjamin L. Harmon, 38, was taken into custody Monday night following a burglary investigation in the 2500 block of Sano Road. Authorities said security footage allegedly showed Harmon making multiple trips to a property and removing items.
Investigators also identified Harmon as a suspect in two separate break-ins on Dillon Street, located about a mile from Adair County High School. Deputies located him during a traffic stop and arrested him on several charges, including multiple counts of burglary and trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.
In a related case, deputies arrested William Shawn White, 44, after determining he allegedly sold a digital camera stolen during the Dillon Street burglaries. White has been charged with receiving stolen property.
Both suspects were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, and authorities say the investigations remain ongoing.
