COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) — Two juveniles were arrested Thursday by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) for motor vehicle theft following a targeted investigation.
Detectives with CSPD’s Metro Burglary Unit learned that one of the suspects—previously arrested multiple times for burglary and car theft—was again in possession of a stolen vehicle. The suspect and a known criminal associate, also a juvenile, were believed to have access to at least one handgun.
Police executed a search warrant in the 4100 block of Goldenrod Drive Thursday afternoon. The operation led to the arrest of both juveniles, the recovery of two stolen vehicles, and the seizure of a stolen handgun. A separate adult male was also arrested on an unrelated warrant during the operation.
One of the juvenile suspects is currently awaiting adjudication on several criminal cases tied to a rash of car thefts and vape store burglaries in 2024. Arrest records show:
Nov. 19, 2024: Arrested for multiple auto theft charges; released the same day
Dec. 10, 2024: Arrested for burglary and auto theft; released Dec. 13 on a personal recognizance bond
Feb. 5, 2025: Arrested for burglary and auto theft; released Feb. 7 on a personal recognizance bond
Apr. 2, 2025: Arrested for burglary; released Apr. 6 on a personal recognizance bond
The juvenile remains under investigation for additional criminal activity.
