The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men from Bluffton on February 19 in connection with the February 2 fatal shooting of James Reynolds at Tailgator’s Bar and Grille in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Marquis Lenard Green, 31, was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, while Curtis D’Rod Green, 37, was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony or murder.
Investigators were able to identify the suspects with the help of video footage from the bar. Deputies responded to the scene on February 2, where they found 39-year-old James Reynolds from Bluffton deceased from gunshot wounds.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Curtis D’Rod Green in Beaufort, and Marquis Lenard Green was arrested shortly thereafter as the suspected shooter. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude for the help received from various agencies, including the Hardeeville Police Department, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Fugitive Task Force, and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
