WALKER COUNTY, AL – A spree of vehicle thefts in Walker County has led to the arrest of two suspects, Stephen Sims and Cameron Cain, following a stolen vehicle report on February 11, 2025.
The incident began when a vehicle was reported stolen in the Curry area. The vehicle owner noted a suspicious car left at the scene, which prompted investigators to look further into the situation. Their investigation led them to Cameron Cain, a suspect in the case.
As the investigation continued, a second call came in regarding a vehicle matching the description of the stolen car from Curry. A responding officer located the vehicle at a nearby residence, where they apprehended Stephen Sims. During his arrest, Sims was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both Sims and Cain were charged with theft of property and burglary in connection with the stolen vehicle. The case remains under investigation, and authorities are working to determine if additional crimes are linked to the suspects.
The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement in combating property crimes and ensuring accountability for offenders in the Walker County area.
