Two Arrested in Peterborough Human Trafficking Investigation

Raheem Smalling and Kimberly Butt charged with trafficking-related offences

Peterborough Police Service’s Human Trafficking (HT) Unit arrested two individuals following a search warrant executed on June 17, 2025, at a residence near Crawford Drive and Monaghan Road. The investigation targeted victims advertised online for sexual services.

During the operation, officers seized a double-barreled shotgun, a rifle, quantities of cocaine and fentanyl, and Canadian currency.

Raheem Smalling, 31, from Whitby, faces charges including material benefit from trafficking and sexual services, advertising sexual services, possession of firearms with altered serial numbers, and unauthorized possession of firearms. Smalling remains in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance on June 18.

Kimberly Butt, 41, from Peterborough, was charged with trafficking in person, material benefit related to trafficking and sexual services, withholding or destroying trafficking documents, procuring, and advertising sexual services. She is also held in custody and will appear in court on June 18.

Peterborough Police have released their names and photos, urging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward.
