A routine traffic stop in Pensacola led to the arrest of two individuals after deputies discovered illegal substances and drug paraphernalia in plain view. The incident occurred when deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) stopped a silver Kia Optima on W Street in Pensacola.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and several drug-related items, including previously smoked marijuana butts, drug baggies, a small scale, and a meth pipe. The drugs and paraphernalia were in clear sight, prompting immediate arrests.
Daquarius Bell, one of the occupants, was taken into custody on charges of trafficking over 20 grams of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. The second occupant, Jaden King, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both Bell and King are facing serious drug-related charges as a result of the traffic stop.
