MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — Two people were arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Lacey’s Spring, officials said.

60-year-old Anthony Dwight Young was pulled over Thursday by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. During the stop, deputies found a crystalline substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, weighing more than 28 grams.

Young was charged with:

Possession of Marijuana

Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was also arrested on two failure-to-appear warrants for Driving While Suspended and violating the Blue Light Law. Young is being held at the Morgan County Jail on a $13,900 bond.

Following the arrest, the drug enforcement unit obtained a search warrant for Young’s residence on River Loop Road. The search uncovered additional trafficking amounts of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, 54-year-old Kimberly Denise McKinley was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was booked into the Morgan County Jail and held on a $300 bond.
