MINDEN, Nev. (KOLO) — Two people have been arrested after a routine traffic stop in Minden led to a significant drug seizure.
The Arrest:
On Tuesday morning, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office patrol units conducted a traffic stop for a violation. Deputies became suspicious of the vehicle’s occupants and requested a K9 unit to sniff the exterior of the car. This led to a search of the vehicle, where deputies discovered 165 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 115 grams of liquid GHB.
Charges:
The suspects, Jacob Paul Hoffman, 46, of Carson City, and Jamie Nikole Woods, 45, of Sparks, were arrested and booked into the Minden Jail. They face multiple charges, including:
Trafficking in a controlled substance
Possession of a controlled substance for sale
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of burglary tools (lock pick set)
Ongoing Investigation:
Authorities have charged the pair for their involvement in drug trafficking and are continuing their investigation. The seizure of methamphetamine and GHB represents a significant step in efforts to curb drug distribution in the region.
