Two Arrested in Logan County Arson Investigation

Robert Bringle and Chelsay Dotson charged in connection with burglary and arson, third suspect sought

Logan County, West Virginia — Two individuals have been arrested, and a third is being sought in connection with an arson investigation in Logan County.

West Virginia State Police responded to a report of burglary and arson at a residence on Mallory Hollow Road in Mallory, West Virginia, on January 13, 2025. Upon arrival, investigators confirmed that the home had been intentionally set on fire.

The investigation led to the identification of three suspects involved in the crime. Robert Bringle, 33, was charged with first-degree arson, burglary, grand larceny, and conspiracy. Chelsay Dotson, 28, who was already incarcerated on unrelated charges, was charged with conspiracy in connection with the fire.

Both Bringle and Dotson are currently awaiting court proceedings at the Southwestern Regional Jail. State Police have not yet released the name of the third suspect involved in the arson and burglary.
