Two Arrested in Kotturpuram Double Murder Case: 14 Suspects in Custody

Police seize weapons and vehicles from suspects in the brutal double murder.

On Friday, the police made two additional arrests in connection with the double murder case in Kotturpuram that took place on March 16. The accused, identified as K Anand alias Cheeta (20) and M Karthik (22), both residents of Kottivakkam, were sent to Puzhal prison.

With these arrests, the total number of suspects in custody has reached 14, which includes four juveniles. The police have seized important evidence from the suspects, including seven knives, five phones, and four two-wheelers.

The double murder victims, Arunkumar (25) and Padappai Suresh (25), both known rowdies, were brutally killed by a gang while they were sleeping inside the Nagavalli Amman Temple in Kotturpuram. Investigations are ongoing, and further developments are awaited as the authorities continue to piece together the details of the crime.
