Two Arrested in Hanover on Drug and Firearm Charges

Paxton Smith, Christina Walters face multiple felony charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two individuals have been arrested on multiple drug-related charges in southern Indiana.

On Thursday, Jan. 29, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a residence on the 100 block of N. Sycamore Drive in Hanover, Indiana, to serve an active arrest warrant.

During the operation, deputies seized five firearms, cash, and a large quantity of narcotics, including methamphetamine and marijuana.

As a result, Paxton Smith and Christina Walters were taken into custody. Both face charges including manufacturing and dealing drugs and resisting law enforcement.

Smith and Walters are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2, with bond set at $100,000 each.
