Two Arrested in Clyde for Stealing Mail Across Multiple States

Chelsea Blackwell and Lonnie Chance charged with theft of mail containing addresses from Texas and Louisiana

CLYDE, Texas — Clyde Police have arrested two individuals for stealing mail on Wednesday, as part of an ongoing investigation into a string of mail thefts across Texas and Louisiana.

35-year-old Chelsea Nichole Blackwell and 41-year-old Lonnie Paul Chance were both arrested and charged with theft of mail. Authorities discovered the stolen mail, which contained addresses for homes in Louisiana as well as various Texas counties, including Callahan, Taylor, and Falls counties.

Clyde Police are urging anyone who believes they may have been affected by this crime to contact local law enforcement. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are expected to be filed against the suspects.
