Two Arrested in Ceres After Traffic Stop Reveals Stolen Car and Drugs

Isaac Rojas and Pedro Medina face multiple charges after being caught with a stolen vehicle and methamphetamine

CERES, Calif. — Two men were arrested early Thursday morning after Ceres police discovered they were driving a stolen vehicle. The arrests took place during a traffic stop on the 1400 block of Hatch Road at 1:48 a.m..

Officer Angel Murillo, who was patrolling the area, stopped a black Cadillac sedan for vehicle code violations. Upon investigation, the officer learned that the car had been reported as stolen.

Isaac Rojas, 38, of Ceres, was arrested on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and auto theft. Pedro Medina, 26, of Modesto, was arrested after police found a large baggy containing an off-white rock substance believed to be methamphetamine. Medina was charged with transporting a controlled substance.

A records check revealed that Medina had an outstanding felony warrant for robbery and home invasion.

Both suspects were taken to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for booking.
