Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the brutal murder of a 67-year-old woman in Kulathupalayam near Nallur.
The victim, R. Samiyathal, was hacked early Sunday morning inside her home. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Coimbatore, she succumbed to her injuries.
Following the incident, the Nallur police registered a case and reviewed CCTV footage to identify the culprits. The accused have been named as P. Anandharaj (29) from Ariyalur district and P. Ajith Kumar (23) from Thalavadi near Sathyamangalam in Erode district.
Both suspects were apprehended on Tuesday and are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
