On Wednesday, Boudh police successfully cracked the case of the murder of young businessman K. Manoj Patra, arresting two individuals involved in the crime.
Boudh Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Goel explained that the murder occurred on April 27, 2025, when a group of miscreants attempted to rob Patra near Jagadishpur Chhak, on the Boudh-Baghiapada road, around 5 pm. When Patra refused to hand over his money, the attackers fatally stabbed him multiple times in the back and chest with sharp weapons.
The assailants quickly fled the scene after committing the murder. However, police swiftly launched an investigation, identifying the suspects and arresting two of them. The arrested individuals were identified as Ashish Luha, 19, from Bapuji Nagar in Boudh, and Ashin Deep, 18, from Baghiapada (Salibanka).
A third suspect remains at large, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend him. Police have seized a knife, a scooter, and a mobile phone from the arrested individuals. The two suspects have been charged and presented in court.
