Twelve Pennsylvania Residents and One from Indiana Charged in Drug Distribution Scheme

Federal indictments accuse individuals of conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and Adderall

Twelve residents from western Pennsylvania and one from Indiana have been charged in two federal indictments related to a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and Adderall. The alleged drug conspiracies span several years, with the first indictment covering January 2019 to July 2024 and including 22 counts. Martin J. Maassen, an 82-year-old physician from Indiana, faces 21 counts of unlawful distribution of Adderall. The other defendants face charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. Authorities state that Maassen unlawfully distributed painkillers and amphetamines. Indictments are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
