Tupelo Man Arrested on Firearm Possession Charges

A 44-year-old man from Tupelo has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to a press release from the Tupelo Police Department.

On February 19, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., officers encountered two individuals in a parked vehicle on South Green Street. After determining that both individuals had active warrants through the Tupelo Municipal Court, officers arrested them at the scene.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers discovered a firearm along with narcotics. Further investigation revealed that the passenger in the vehicle, Willie C. Price, had a prior felony conviction, making the possession of the firearm illegal.

Willie C. Price was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $5,000 by Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen.
