LUDHIANA: In a major preemptive strike, Ludhiana police arrested five suspects on Wednesday who were allegedly planning a robbery in the city. The arrests were made from the GLADA ground, based on a timely tip-off.
The accused have been identified as:

Rahul
Abhimanyu
Neeraj
Saurabh
Police recovered four motorcycles, a scooter, and three sharp-edged weapons from their possession.
According to ADCP Vaibhav Sehgal, ACP Jasbir Singh, and Moti Nagar SHO Inspector Bhupinder Singh, the suspects are habitual offenders involved in multiple cases of theft, robbery, and drugs.
The police acted swiftly after receiving intelligence that the group was assembling to carry out a dacoity in the city. A raid was conducted, and all five were taken into custody before they could act.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the group had been plotting a major crime. Officials added that several revelations are expected during further interrogation, as past records show links to other unsolved criminal activities in the region.
The suspects remain in custody while investigations continue.
